Puff'n Corn

PuffncornKoben really likes his Puff’n Corn. As you can see here, mom has caught him in the act of trying to eat the entire bag.

Dawn continued her hard work to complete Koben’s room. She put the finishing touches on it this weekend, and it is now complete (except for installing his new windows, which is my job for next weekend). I think Dawn did a remarkable job. Koben thanks you very much, mom.

Zazoo

Here is Koben’s new kitty “Zazoo.” This should be a good playmate for Koben. So far, they have a lot in common, they both like to put everything in their mouth and I can get them really wound up. I think Dawn is going to spend tonight sleeping on the kitchen floor with Zazoo, so that he doesn’t feel alone. He is used to sleeping in a barn with other cats and horses too.

The Mural

painting This weekend, Dawn started painting Koben’s train mural. It is a lot more work than she thought it would be. I am very glad that I didn’t volunteer for this project. She is doing an outstanding job painting it even though she has absolutely no painting experience. So far, it looks fantastic. I cannot wait for it to be complete. Hopefully, she will be able to complete it next weekend.

The Zoo

Koben took a trip to the zoo today. He was very well behaved all day. It was asking a lot of him to be confined to a car for 4 hours and then spend 2 more hours in his stroller at the zoo. He got his flu shot yesterday, so he had even more reason to be grumpy.

Koben loved the fish in the aquarium. Here you can see me and Koben looking at some of those fish.

Koben was also very interested in the waterfall. He just loves water. He loves splashing, kicking and watching it flow. I really have no idea why. Below is a picture of him and mom in front of the waterfall.

Pumpkin

Koben and his pumpkin Here’s a picture of Koben and his pumpkin. He is getting better at standing on his own, provided he does not realize he is standing on his own. It is that Wile E Coyote effect I think. You know how he runs of the cliff, but does not fall until he looks down and realizes he has just run of the cliff. Koben is the same way. He will stand for 6 or 7 seconds on his own, but he will not do it intentionally yet. He has to build up the trust in his balance first.

Koben's room Here are a couple of pictures of the “work-in-progress” that is Koben’s room. Most of the painting has been completed and next weekend Dawn is planning on having the room 100% complete.

Halloween

Koben’s Halloween costume was delivered today. He is going to be a snow monkey. I cannot say that he will remember this Halloween, but we will have pictures to show his friends when he gets older. Once again, I will put up the pictures when I can.

On a side note, it looks as if we are throwing the Halloween party for the adults. Apparently it has been decided that I would make a great Frankenstien monster. Well, I am tall, but I am just too good looking to be that scary, aren’t I?
